I love this devotional but am giving it only 1 star because this particular version is not the original text so you lose Spurgeon's great insights.Make sure you get the original version as many of the versions being sold have been heavily revised and are watered down.Spurgeon has incredibly profound and deep insights into the Scripture and how God works in our lives to develop and refine us through difficulty and suffering. I love this devotional and give it to others that I think might enjoy it and find it useful. It especially helped me through my mother's battle with cancer and her transition to being in the presence of God. I would recommend trying to find a version of it that is the original unrevised text. Most of the copies out there have been edited and so you lose some of Spurgeon's insights. Watchmaker publishing currently puts out a version that is the original text. This helped me develop and grow in my understanding of scripture and my closeness with and dependence on God. Spurgeon will change your life
For anyone that has studied Charles Haddon Spuegeons writings........with King James text........this book is a poor version of his masterpiece of a devotion. When I was looking for a new hard bound version to replace my 3-decade old book, which is falling apart from so much use, I looked this over thoroughly to ensure I would get the unaltered version. Even with the limited photos and the "audio" ( which is VERY different from what is in this teeny tiny book I just received ), I sadly got a "rip-off". This is NOT an accurate version and it is FALSELY advertised to be one.For ANYONE who loves Spurgeons treasure-filled gem of a devotional, DO NOT buy this one!!! You will be very disappointed ðŸ™

Spurgeon tells us that we may take God's promises that pertain to our particular situation, and use them as we would a check written to us endorsed by God- taking it to the bank of heaven, and ask God to "Do as Thou has said." These 365 precious promises from God deal with a wide selection of topics, will comfort, encourage, and strengthen the reader.
In my opinion this devotional by Spurgeon exceeds all others including Spurgeon's own classical devotion "Morning and Evening". It is most God honoring and edifying. Spurgeon takes you to the heart of God. To know God is the highest aspiration of man and surely God is most glorified herein. I would commend this writing to every christian. Surely this could not be improved upon.

This book has daily encouraging, uplifting devotions for the Christian walk. It's got lots of practical information and has this "magical" quality that somedays when you pick it up...you're reading something that seems only meant for you! And that's when you know how Awesome God is...to be able to orchestra that!! :) Great book!!
