About the Author

Megan Falley is the queer-femme author of three full-length collections of poetry: Drive Here and Devastate Me (Write Bloody Publishing 2018), Redhead and the Slaughter King (2014), and After the Witch Hunt (2012). Her chapbook, Bad Girls, Honey [Poems About Lana Del Rey] was the winner of the 2015 Tired Hearts Chapbook Prize. She is a National Poetry Slam & Woman of the World Poetry Slam finalist. Absolute perfection. I finally got the book in my hands today. I’ve read it three times front to back. About to get comfy in bed, and read it again. There aren’t enough words. Beautiful. Real. Raw. Buy this book. If you’re a fan of spoken word.....if you’re a human in this life....read this book. You’ll never hear the word ‘devastate’ the same ever again. Xo.

This book grabbed me by throat and didn’t let go until I’d finished it. I’m not someone who really reads poetry books. But it was late, and I read before bed. I was just gonna dip into it here and there, get a taste for who Megan Falley is. Yeah. This wasn’t really reading. This was a mirror to look into. It was a boat that took me out to sea. It was a sanctuary and a threat. It made me think. Like I said, I picked it up...and didn’t put it down until I had read every. Single. Poem. Everyone should have a copy.

As usual, Megan Falley exceeded everything imaginable in Drive Here and Devastate Me. This book has every kind of poem you can imagine. It is so good that you’ll read it from front to back in one sitting, and have her lines on repeat in your head for days (or weeks, or forever)!
