Will goes to work for The Agency as a way to make money so he can support his teenage sister after the unexpected death of their parents. Clover needs a date to her sister's wedding to keep the creeps and looks of pity away. They come together in what becomes a sweet and hot love story with drama and a happy ending. I love how realistic these characters are and how quickly they draw you into their story. This is a quick, sexy read that will appeal to anyone.
Will has just joined the Agency as Xander's replacement. Being an escort is not anything he had ever seen himself doing but when his parents both died in an accident he was the option left for his younger sister. If he hopes to get custody of her, he needs a way to support them both, so he drops out of UCLA (temporarily) and takes a job at the Agency. He has just finished his training and has been assigned his first job. It's an unusual multi-day role and the pay will help tremendously. Clover is the 'rebellious' daughter of her wealthy family. She would rather be an elementary school teacher than a socialite wife. She prefers her jeans and chucks to her Louboutins. She wears her hair wild and eats her dinner instead of having the customary shoulder-length straight hair and stick-thin figure. She's happy with her life but when her overbearing mother plans to fix her up for her sister's wedding, Clover decides to hire a date instead. Clover and Will have immediate chemistry which worries them both. he's gorgeous but not what her mother expects for her with his rough edges and tattoos. Clover isn't the spoiled little rich girl Will expected but he needs to remember, she's a job, this isn't real. But is it?This series is over-the-top fun. I love the escorts, I love the dates. This one is even more fun because of the cast of characters. A dysfunctional family and a weekend wedding always set up trouble! Hart is a wonderful man and Chili turned out fantastic. I especially love her friendship with Sandy. My only problem with the series is the Agency's training with Zenia. It leaves me feeling icky with every interaction they have with her. She's great and is always supportive but knowing that past relationship ruins her with the guys for me. Looking forward to more escorts in the future.
(Review with spoilers)Great romance. I loved it.Clover belongs to a wealthy family, but she doesn't want to live on their money. She wants to work, to pursue her dreams. She wants to be a teacher. Her parents pay for her career, but she is the one who is making an effort, and it hurts her to have to lie to her friends about her family, about herself. It also hurts her that her mother is pressuring her to be what she is not. That's why she has to hire a boyfriend for her sister's wedding. Will comes from a normal family. His parents are professors, and he is studying at the university on a scholarship. But his world collapses when his parents die and he has to fight to get custody of Chili, his younger sister. With hardly any money, he needs to turn to the Agency to be able to pay his debts.I loved Clover. She is independent, strong, knows what she wants in life. She does not judge people by their origin, like her mother. She sees all the good in Will. Good man, intelligent, he would do anything for his family. She couldn't be with a better man than him. Will knew what he wanted to do with his life, but his plans have changed. Now he has a chance to make money quickly, which will help him to stay with his sister. But he didn't expect a simple job to turn into something else. He expected a posh girl, not a sweet, intelligent woman who stole his heart. Both are comfortable with each other. They know that when the week is over, they will never see each other again, and they deeply regret it. They dare not acknowledge their feelings. They love each other, but they need a push to be able to be together.I loved that Will defends Clover, and that she faces her mother, not just for him, for everything.I also loved that Will is sincere, that he assumes his mistakes, although he knows that it will harm him.I loved Hart. He's a good man who values people for who they are, not for what they have.I loved that Jess changed, that she didn't think only about money, about pleasing her mother. I loved that she thinks about herself, about what she wants.I loved Chili. She is sincere, she says what she thinks.I loved seeing Xander and Sean, and knowing about Richard and Sandy. They're good, they don't hesitate for a second to help Will, even though they barely know each other.I recommend it.I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Will Adams feels like the world is closing in around him. He’s lost both of his parents to a car wreck and is trying to gain custody of his younger hellion sister Chili and has had to drop out of college before his last semester. Trying to set things right, he is apprehensive about starting a new job as an ‘escort’ at The Agency. Envisioning taking little old women out on dates for money, maybe even sleeping with them has him questioning his decision. Will needs steady, good income right away and is stunned to hear his first job is for twenty-five thousand dollars for five days work.Clover Lufkin needs a date for her sister’s upcoming wedding and that doesn’t mean she is going with her mom’s hand picked, man of her dreams choice for Clover’s future husband. Desperate to avoid that slime ball, and knowing she has to show up with someone, she enlists the service of a male escort from The Agency.Describing his job as a bodyguard to his sister and Clover’s masking her identity as a graduate student to Will, the two spend five crazy sometimes tense, sometimes funny days together at the Lufkin family estate before Will gets outed for what he is.This is a great read with well developed characters and I was sad to see it end. As the second book is this series is just as good, if not better than the first. I can’t wait for ‘Mister Wrong’.I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.
